Zero Telemetry • Zero Trackers

Privacy Policy

Yuki is built to respect your privacy completely. We do not track you, collect metrics, or sell anything. Here is our policy in plain language.

No tracking or analytics

Yuki contains zero analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or telemetry libraries. We have no way of knowing who you are or when you open the app.

Direct connection only

Yuki talks directly to Stoat's official servers (or your configured self-hosted instance) and stt.gg for Discover listings. No middleman servers exist.

Encrypted Keychain storage

Your login sessions and authentication tokens are stored securely in Apple's encrypted iOS Keychain and never leave your device.

No website trackers

This website does not set cookies, does not load Google Fonts, and does not run any analytics or tracking scripts.

What data Yuki collects

None. Yuki does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, or device identifiers to the developer or any third party.

How network requests work

When you use Yuki, the app connects directly to the Stoat backend (api.stoat.chat, its WebSocket gateway, and Autumn media upload server) or to whichever self-hosted Stoat instance you specify.

When browsing the built-in Discover tab, Yuki queries stt.gg directly to retrieve public server and bot listings.

All messages, attachments, passwords, and server information are handled according to Stoat's Privacy Policy. Yuki introduces no intermediate proxies.

Diagnostics and crash reporting

Because Yuki is sideloaded, it does not send crash reports or metrics to Apple, Crashlytics, or Sentry.

Instead, Yuki includes an in-app diagnostic log under Settings > Diagnostics. This log records recent connection states, HTTP status codes, and call events to help troubleshoot bugs. It holds no message text, usernames, or email addresses. This log never leaves your device unless you manually choose to copy and share it with the developer to diagnose an issue.

Open source verification

Yuki is open source under the GNU AGPL, version 3. You can inspect every line of code to verify these claims in the repository at github.com/Yuki-Client/Yuki-App.
